Maldives Chronicles : Tsunami Monument

Located on the southern eastern part of Male city , this structure is dedicated to all those people who lost their lives during 2004 Tsunami. Twenty balls represents twenty atolls of Maldives. The overall design signifies the swirling water with each vertical rod in the core bearing the name of one of the victim.
