Travel stories: Lulu Island , Nantou County , Taiwan
Lalu Island is a small island located in the middle of Sun and moon lake. After earth Quake of 1999, the local government named the island as Lalu, paying homage to Thao hunters. As per the legend, Thao hunters discovered Sun Moon lake while chasing a white deer. The Sun Moon Lake is a big water body in Taiwan. The southern end of Lalu Island resembles the shape of the new moon while the northern part is similar to the form of Sun, hence bringing the name Sun Moon lake.
